Students design Public Purpose tutoring program for area youth
KineticWits is a free online tutoring service designed to provide middle and high school students in North Carolina with extra academic assistance. Founded by Annika Deshpande '21 and Cady He '21, KineticWits establishes a program at Greensboro Day School which is evidence of the "private school/public purpose" philosophy, and is a cornerstone of the 2020-2023 Strategic plan.

KineticWits will begin with Math tutoring through Zoom to meet with the students. Our tutors will be GDS high school students who are passionate about giving back to the community by helping others. Sessions will currently include SAT math, one-on-one tutoring for any math concepts, as well as pop-in math homework help. We aim to assist with topics ranging from Pre-algebra to Precalculus/Trigonometry.
Once established, KineticWits hopes to expand to the following subjects:
