"Our alumni are not only about the school's past but more so a part of its future.
Alumni involvement makes a difference between a good school and a great one.
Our legacy is our future!"
-- Beau McIntosh '97, Current Parent of Adelaide '26, Fletcher '28, and Finn '30.

2nd Generation of Giving

Those before you, including the School’s founders, teachers, and your parents gave you the opportunity at Greensboro Day School and now you have the opportunity to do the same for current and future students.

The multi-generational element shows the strength and stability of Greensboro Day School.  Giving by alumni is important for a number of reasons:
1. Directly supports today's students and teachers
2. Shows the value our alumni place on their time at GDS
3. Recognizes the foundation and opportunities that GDS provided them as a student
4. Helps the school secure larger grants from foundations. One of the first questions we are asked is what is our alumni giving percentage?
5. Ensures financial stability for the future of the school

"The world is never saved in grand gestures, but by the accumulation of gentle, soft, almost invisible acts of compassion every day.  The only way for me to be human or to see my humanity is for you to reflect my humanity back at me..." -- Chris Abani

Participation is importantYou may think your small gift does not help, but as the quote says, the 'accumulation' of 'almost invisible acts' helps us to be grand!
