We're excited for another great summer at GDS!

Greensboro Day School offers an extensive summer program offering a variety of day camp options beginning with preschool-aged children. Children can explore art, basketball, golf, tennis, cooking, Legos, Minecraft, Horsepower, Harry Potter-themed camps, and more. A variety of academic-themed camps are also available including reading, science, math, and preparation for Kindergarten.

Most camps run from 8:30–2 p.m. each day, and after camp care is also available until 6 p.m. each day.

Our mission: To provide a safe, educational, and empowering summer experience to our campers and students in an expert environment that promotes trust, kindness, acceptance, and leadership.

  • Food, Dress, and Sunscreen

Please send a snack, lunch, and two drinks (or a refillable water bottle) each day. If you choose Afternoon Explorations, please pack another snack and drink for that as well. Please do not send soft drinks. If your child is attending a sports camp, send a water bottle. Please be sure that campers wears closed-toe shoes, and dress appropriately, (easy to move in, cool, and comfortable clothes are best). Remember the kids play and get dirty, so please don’t send them in their “best” clothes. Please bring sunscreen or apply at home before attending camp. It is a good idea to have your child wear sunscreen every day, as we frequently eat and snack outdoors.
  • Late Registration and Registration Changes

Late Registration: While we make every effort to accommodate busy parents, there is a $25 fee for any registrations made after Wednesday at 5 p.m. for the upcoming week of camp.

Change Fee: If you need to change an existing registration, please contact Holly Hofbauer, Summer Camp Director. Please note there is a $10 fee per change. Please remember that we cannot guarantee placing your camper(s) if camps are full.
  • Refunds and Pro-Rating

Refunds will only be given for serious extenuating health or family concerns. Camp Directors will make this determination. Pro-rating will no longer be available for any reason. Please understand that when we book camps, we rely on fees to pay instructors and assistants and cover all materials, regardless if your camper joins us for two days or all five. Thanks for your cooperation!
