"I love GDS not for some coincidental relationship to my alma mater. Rather, I love GDS for what it stands for and how it empowers the leaders, the doers, and the dreamers to be the light of inspiration and hope"
After graduating from Greensboro Day School in 2004, Michael earned bachelor’s and master’s of science degrees in Sport Management from NC State University. Upon completing his master’s, he interned with the Wolfpack Club in annual and capital giving, organizing special events, and redeveloping the Young Alumni Program, successfully recruiting 730 new members and renewals, and working with over 430 volunteers. After the completion of the internship, he worked in the American University Office of Alumni Relations where he oversaw the Alumni Audit and Dinner with Alumni Programs, worked with alumni volunteers to coordinate regional alumni events, wrote articles for a monthly alumni e-newsletter, and partnered with campus organizations to engage alumni and students.
