Welcome to Lower School!

Welcome to the Lower School where children develop the love of lifelong learning! Our passionate teachers create a sanctuary where children are known and their voices matter. They provide students with boundless opportunities to explore, lead, serve, create, and connect. Because our teachers are experts at differentiating instruction, students can access learning in a variety of ways.

In grades 1 through 4, children build on the foundations developed in the Early Childhood and Kindergarten Programs. They are ready to take newly acquired academic and social/emotional skills and apply them with confidence to engaging learning experiences including starting their own business, creating music and unique works of art, designing simple machines and understanding many cultures. It is important that they embark upon these adventures with respect and ethical decision making, two integral parts of our curriculum.

Budding leadership skills are nurtured and deep learning occurs with meaningful projects and field experiences where children explore important ideas like family, freedom, change, power, patterns, relationships, balance, and more. The connections across the disciplines blur the lines and ensure that learning sticks. The joyful buzz of learning is a constant in our exceptional facilities! We invite you to visit so you can experience the magic of the Lower School first hand!
